Established in 2016, KHÒLÒ is all about being open minded. Through colour and hand-embellishments, KHÒLÒ is all about having fun and feeling sassy, artistic and whole. It's about having the courage to wear what you love.
It takes courage to wear what you love. Especially once you've gone up sizes, or those bags under your eyes aren't going anywhere or you just read the latest beauty blogs and learnt about how wrong everything about you is.
IT IS NOT.
EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU. TODAY. AS IT IS. IS F*CKING RIGHT.
Try telling me that after I went up a size post baby. All I did for a year was stripes and denim and kicks. I wanted pink. I wanted yellow. I wanted to shine like a dazzling rainbow. I wanted to feel adorned. But I couldn't find anything that felt right. And you know what, I didn't really have that courage either. I didn't want people to notice me.
BUT THAT SH*T HAD TO CHANGE.
I spent some time with some women I love and adore and I learnt that it is all good to wear what you love. I took courage from this to make more of what I love.
"Our point of difference at KHÒLÒis in the details. I want a woman to feel sassy, artistic and whole when she's wearing our clothes. She's embodying the KHÒLÒ spirit and I know it takes courage to wear something non-neutral. But with that courage, as always, comes so much more in life. That's what I want.”
KHÒLÒ's signature visual features are colour and hand embellishments on silks and handspun cotton. While the range currently starts at size 8 the aim is to offer size 16 and up moving forward.
“We're a super ethical business who really care about our supply chain, methods and engagement along the line - down to how we communicate with the client. Our goodness needs to be in everything we do."
Our embroidery happens in India. We work with a team that don't do over time, don't do child labour (their youngest employee is 21) and they are so proud of what they do. This matters to us. It's all about the vibes right?!
